Every Saw Movie Ending Ranked Worst To Best

3. Saw VI

The End: A vengeful young man kills William, and Jill tries to kill Hoffman.

Saw VI's ending doesn't really have much of a twist - the only one being that the mother and son we assumed where William's family are actually the family of a man whose death he caused - but that's okay. Saw VI wisely focused on providing a satisfying ending to the overall story.

In the end, the terrible actions of William (Peter Outerbridge), a ruthless healthcare executive, lead directly to his extremely gory death - he is injected with a lot of acid and literally falls apart - and this makes for an extremely effective ending to his game.

It's both deliciously savage and intensely thought-provoking. After all, as a representation of people's past mistakes coming back to haunt them in the worst way imaginable, the Jigsaw Killer represents one of our worst nightmares come to life. When done well, as it is here, the spectacle of his traps exacting their horrific karma always hits incredibly hard.

The scene with Hoffman in a Reverse Bear-Trap is also good, especially since it represents a satisfying step-up for Jill, and he survives in a brilliantly smart way too.

This isn't the most twisty or memorable Saw ending, but it's still pretty awesome overall.
