10. Saw VI - The Steam Maze

Trap: Debbie (Caroline Cave), William Easton's lawyer, had to get through a maze of air vents before a device attached to her back sent a spear through her head. William was in the area where her key was apparently located and at times he had to pull a lever to redirect some steam from Debbie's path, burning himself. Unknown to him, the key to Debbie's device is inside William.

Thanks to a great concept and another helping of ferocious suspense, the Steam Maze is yet another fabulous trap from Saw VI.

The timing is a bit off, since although Debbie's timer is 90 seconds, the game evidently lasts for longer than that, but other than that it's an absolutely excellent, suffocatingly tense scene. The surprising ending to the trap - Debbie panics, goes after William with a power saw to cut the key out of him and when he dodges, her timer expires and she dies - works very well too.
