Every Saw Trap Ranked From Worst To Best

Trap: Detective Allison Kerry (Dina Meyer) was hooked up to a device that would rip her ribcage open and in order to survive, she had to reach into a jar of acid and retrieve a key before it dissolved. Unfortunately, even though she does this, this was one of Amanda's inescapable traps and Kerry died gruesomely.

This is one trap that'll leave you feeling like you've been punched in the gut.

Not only is it horrifying, nasty and brutally tense but it also involves one of the best characters from the early Saw movies and she's someone who viewers really won't want to see die horribly. Daniel Rigg's enraged reaction when he discovers her body mirrors how many viewers will be feeling.

It is a very nasty trap, but it works since, unlike many of the film's traps (most notably, the Rack) it's not so focused on pain and it doesn't feel nearly so gratuitous, allowing it to be a brilliant and thoroughly unsettling nightmare.
