52. Saw IV - The Scalping Seat

Trap: Brenda (Sarain Boylan), a pimp, was fastened to a seat with a device that pulled her hair and scalp off. The combination to the lock was written on the gears of the machine. It was the first trap in Daniel Rigg's (Lyriq Bent) Game, which was designed to relieve him of his obsession with saving everyone.

This was the worst trap in Saw IV.

It focuses far too much on pain, making it more grim than enjoyable, and there's no logic to it at all. Why didn't Rigg (Lyriq Bent) just free Brenda by shooting her hair?

Afterwards, it turns out a tape left for Brenda herself encouraged her to attack Rigg once she was free, since he would inevitably turn her in for her many crimes. Once freed, she did as instructed and died in the resulting scuffle.

All of this felt wildly illogical and pointless, since it's not exactly clear how this was supposed to teach Rigg to let go of his obsession.
