Every Single X-Men Movie Ranked From Worst To Best
11. X-Men Origins: Wolverine
You might say that we owe X-Men Origins a debt for showing the world that Ryan Reynolds would make a great Deadpool, even when the film he was in treated the character with utter disdain, but that's about all you can say to its credit.
Actually, no, the opening sequence that jumps Logan and the new Victor Creed through time quickly is legitimately brilliant, Hugh Jackman is good and Liev Schreiber is excellent. But pretty much everything else is provocatively bad.
It's not like there's even any kitsch value to it and pretty much every decision looks like a mistake in retrospect. The story has some good ideas and the idea to bring in young Cyclops, Deadpool, Blob and Gambit are all sound. It's just that the execution of all of them is utterly, terrifyingly bad.
