Every Stan Lee Cameo Ranked From Worst To Best
22. Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Thor: The Dark World is without question the most forgettable movie in the entire MCU, but Lee's cameo is actually pretty fun.
The film's subplot where Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) ends up institutionalised is one of the MCU's most demented to date, and while it falls a little flat on occasion, Lee perks things up by appearing as one of Selvig's fellow inmates.
After Selvig demonstrates the impending apocalyptic event known as the Convergence with a pair of shoes, he asks the "audience", "Any questions?" After a beat, Lee's character asks, "Can I have my shoe back?"
The scene isn't particularly well directed by Alan Taylor - especially as he reveals Lee's presence a few shots too early and it deflates the surprise - but the idea of Selvig and Lee hanging out together in the ward is still undeniably hilarious.
21. Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
It's a shame more wasn't done to give Lee a more substantial cameo for the climactic event that was Infinity War, but his appearance as the driver of Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) school bus was still pretty charming.
After Peter's Spidey sense starts to tingle as the Children of Thanos descend upon New York City, Peter makes a hasty, web-slinging exit from the bus, all while Lee's driver addresses the hysterical kids: "What's the matter with you kids? You never seen a spaceship before?"
It's probably more gentle and throwaway than you'd hope for in a movie like this, but still good fun.
