Every Steven Soderbergh Movie Ranked Worst To Best
3. Ocean's Eleven (2001)
First things first: Soderbergh has never had a better cast.
George Clooney shines as the leader of the pack, Brad Pitt's smarmy, charming right-hand is the life of the party, Matt Damon is loving life working alongside his more established co-stars, Andy Garcia is slimy perfection and Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Julia Roberts, Carl Reiner, Elliot Gould and everyone else who slips in-and-out of the movie only make it that much more immense.
Ocean's Eleven is Soderbergh at the height of his dazzling moviemaking powers, filling the screen with big names but never letting them get in the way of the simply brilliant story.
The heist thriller blows the Rat Pack original out of the water in every way, but also never feels like a direct remake, just a great film in its own right. The frantic pace, quirky dialogue, plot twists and performances are truly perfect, and the fact that Ocean's Eleven isn't number one on this list just goes to show how great Steven Soderbergh is.
