Every Studio Ghibli Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

As with Tales From Earthsea, Ocean Waves is very much at the more lightweight end of the spectrum for Ghibli and that is to its eternal detriment.

It barely qualifies as real Ghibli, given that it was produced for TV to help train young, new staff members (and they perhaps should have paid attention to the fact that it went over budget and wasn't delivered on time as a hint of what was to come).

It's just a little dull to be honest: there's no arguing with the animation quality - they wouldn't be working for the studio if they sucked after all - but the story isn't up to it and it's unfortunately rather unmemorable.
