Every Superhero Movie This Decade Ranked - Worst To Best

37. Thor: The Dark World (2013)

The worst-reviewed entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date is pure superhero sequel formula, serving up a horribly uninspired villain in Malekith (a thoroughly wasted Christopher Eccleston), a disappointing focus on Thor (Chris Hemworth) and Jane Foster's (Natalie Portman) unconvincing relationship, eye-rolling comic relief and a wealth of drab, dull-looking action sequences.

There are a few bright spots, though: Loki (Tom Hiddleston) once again steals the show and the climactic set-piece is at least fairly imaginative. Otherwise, though, it's an also-ran sequel the franchise could've basically done without, and if there's any MCU movie worth skipping, it's unquestionably this one.
