Every Superhero Movie This Decade Ranked - Worst To Best

29. Turbo Kid (2015)

A ludicrously entertaining mash-up of kids' action-adventure fare and Paul Verhoeven-esque gorefests, Turbo Kid lampoons a very specific niche and does it wonderfully, serving up a stylish superhero movie in its own right.

Homage movies such as this often coast on nostalgic goodwill, yet this is a genuinely well-crafted movie in every respect, from the performances - especially a delicious Michael Ironside - to the cinematography, editing, effects and Le Matos' entrancing synth score.

Hell, even the heroes are legitimately interesting in what could so easily have been a hollow, soulless tribute to 80s schlock. A sequel's apparently on the way, and that's something to be genuinely excited about.
