23. Deadpool 2 (2018)

While there's sure to be plenty of debate about how exactly Deadpool 2 stacks up to the original, on its own terms it delivers more of the glorious same, along with some welcome new casting additions and a noticeably bigger budget.

The first act is a little sloppy in places and it's probably a little too long, but overall the combination of hilarious meta-gags, unapologetically crude comedy, brutal violence and colourful characters make this a shockingly consistent follow-up.

Particular shout-outs to new heroes Cable (Josh Brolin), Domino (Zazie Beetz) and, yes, Peter (Rob Delaney). That's not to forget those all-timer mid-credits scenes, either.
