Every Superhero Movie This Decade Ranked - Worst To Best
14. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
It's fair to say that Guardians Vol. 2 doesn't quite reach the fresh highs of the original and whiffs vaguely of an over-confident, even complacent sequel, but at the same time, it's still a ton of fun.
While the gags and emotion don't hit as hard as they did the first time, Vol. 2 boasts a more intriguing narrative and villain than its predecessor alongside some of the MCU's strongest visuals to date.
Kurt Russell is an especially splendid antagonist as Ego, and though the Yondu (Michael Rooker) sacrifice ends up feeling a bit forced emotionally, you wouldn't be blamed for getting a little lump in your throat regardless.
Plus, Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) was used surprisingly sparingly, and if that severed toe gag didn't leave you laughing like a maniac, do you even like superheroes movies?
