Every Superhero Movie This Decade Ranked - Worst To Best

49. Fantastic Four (2015)

Hot off the heels of his superhero smash Chronicle, Josh Trank was given the keys to the Fantastic Four franchise, along with an epic budget, likeable cast and...gang of executives who decided mid-production that his vision wasn't what they had in mind.

We'll never know for sure exactly who should shoulder most of the blame for this enticing reboot falling so hideously flat - the studio blames Trank's erratic, drug-fuelled behaviour, Trank says the movie was taken away from him - but either way, the end product is totally flat, charmless and forgettable.

Clearly ripped apart in editing and plagued by ill-fitting reshoots - Kate Mara's distractingly obvious wig being the most glaring indicator - Fantastic Four once again killed the franchise dead, at least until Marvel Studios inevitably attempts to roll it into the MCU.
