Remember that time when Hollywood gave Seth Rogen his own superhero franchise, and for some reason let Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) direct it?

While well made enough and benefiting from some not-awful chemistry between Rogen and his Kato, Jay Chou, for the most part this is a generically forgettable superhero flick that's neither funny nor action-packed enough to satisfy either fans of Rogen or superhero movies in general.

Christoph Waltz is clearly having a ton of fun as the villain, though, with his scenery-munching performance proving the easy highlight ("I'm ungassable!"). Also, Edward Furlong has a totally random cameo in it, which is sadly his last appearance in a theatrical release to date.
