Every Tim Burton Film Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice has to be the film that genuinely ranks as the most Burton-esque project we have ever seen. The creativity of the movie is the high-point of the director's career as it encapsulates all of the best things about his unique art style. Its combination of Gothic aesthetics and campy fun blend together perfectly to entirely generate a worthwhile experience that you won't see anywhere else.

The film follows a newly-wed couple who have just died in a car accident. They awake to find themselves as dead spirits who still live in the home that they recently owned, but soon an unbearable family move in. They attempt to scare the new residents out of the house but eventually have to turn to assistance from the downright malicious spirit Betelgeuse.

The film never lets up for a moment and continuously fills the screen with creative and entertaining moments. All of the actors come together to generate loveable characters that fall into the world perfectly and never feel overcrowded by the scenery, and that's impressive as there is a lot of scenery.

This really feels like the live-action embodiment of the artwork that Burton made his name with, and that is why it is his best movie.
