Every Tom Cruise Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

28. Knight And Day (2010)

Tom Cruise Interview With The Vampire
20th Century Fox

Since the mid-2000s, Cruise has settled into a nice rhythm of headlining action films that allow him to strut his stuff as a hard-as-nails hero who seems to have the entire world against him.

Knight and Day is one of those films, but with an interesting twist. Here, Cruise stars as a seemingly unstoppable secret agent who forms an uneasy alliance with Cameron Diaz's constantly uncertain heroine whilst on his latest mission.

While this may sound like a predictable affair - and, as a whole, it is - the joy of the film lies almost entirely with Cruise's performance, which is deliriously funny and charmingly self-aware, anchoring proceedings even when the tone keeps changing and the plot twists occasionally ruin the story's momentum.
