Every Tom Cruise Movie Ranked From Worst To Best

Tom Cruise Interview With The Vampire
20th Century Fox

Taps signalled the true arrival of Tom Cruise to the movies. In Endless Love, he was barely around and easily forgotten, but in Harold Becker's drama he emerged as a future star.

In the film, the actor takes the role of a young army cadet who causes major headaches for his superiors after he and his fellow cadets attempt to take over their school.

Even though he's starring alongside the likes of Sean Penn and Timothy Hutton, Cruise threatens to run away with the whole film with a performance that is as complex as it is understandable, and the film itself makes sure to not squander his quickly emerging talents.
