Tom Cruise Interview With The Vampire
DreamWorks Pictures

Deciding the play the role of morally bankrupt studio executive Les Grossman in Ben Stiller's controversial and wonderfully over-the-top comedy was a genius career move for Cruise, who was required to wear a fatsuit and prosthetics for the role.

Unrecognisable and clearly loving every second of his time on-screen, Cruise is boisterous, intimidating, vulgar and hysterical to the point of tears.

His co-stars (including an Oscar-nominated Robert Downey Jr) are all excellent and the film is - though not to everyone's tastes - extremely off-the-wall hilarious, but Cruise effortlessly steals the show with his violent over-the-phone threats and his final dance to Flo Rida's "Low."
