6. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Revenge of the Fallen is probably the most inane of the Transformers movies, lacking the vague air of self-awareness that blessed the later films and truly believing its Decepticon-with-testicles and racist caricature Autobots were genuinely cool.

The first Transformers sequel effectively doubles down on everything iffy about the original, namely the overtly sexualised female characters and humour which manages to be both vulgar and goofy as hell, yet rarely actually funny. Did anyone really need to see Sam Witwicky's (Shia LaBeouf) mother getting stoned?

It would be disingenuous to call the effects anything other than stellar, but without even a vaguely coherent plot, it's hard to much care. The third act is a disappointing mess and oddly doesn't deliver nearly enough of Bay's signature bombast.
