26. Snow White & The Seven Dwarves

As well as spinning off with her sister Rose Red, Disney are remaking Snow White as a live action film, telling the classic story in a way that would be silly to mess too much with the formula.

It's likely we'll get something as close to the original as the Beauty And The Beast, Jungle Book and Cinderella remakes, with a few new songs and story diversions. What's most important, though, is that they cast the Evil Queen well, because she's kind of a big deal.

25. Dumbo

The news that Will Smith might be playing the male lead for the remake of Dumbo (though presumably not Dumbo himself) wasn't exactly universally appreciated, but it looks like he's moved on. So far, cast news has been limited to speculation, including Colin Farrell, Chris Pine, Eva Green and Danny Devito (as Medici obviously).

Quite how it works as a live action movie centred around a new human family remains to be seen, but it's definitely going to boast some spectacle given Dumbo's central flying premise.

The best part of this whole thing is that we're going to see the famous Pink Elephants On Parade sequence through the filter of Tim Burton's notoriously deranged imagination. Prepare for nightmares, probably.
