5. Toy Story 4

Release Date: 21st June, 2019

Status: In pre-production.

As recently as 2010, Lee Unkrich said there were no plans for a fourth Toy Story film, but the strong financial performance of number 3 and the popularity of the short spin-offs proved there was life after the Andy Trilogy. So a fourth was confirmed in 2014, with John Lasseter back in the director's seat, and Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich writing. That's basically THE Pixar dream-team, so that's quite the foundation.

There have been hints that the film will be a love story - with some rumours of a quest to find Bo Peep - and Lasseter said it was so exciting he couldn't shake it out of his head. Other than that, we know it's a stand-alone, we know that Randy Newman is returning to compose the soundtrack and that the main cast will return.

Unfortunately, this will be the first film without Don Rickles, who voiced Mr Potato Head and sadly passed away before he could record his lines. Whether they'll cut him out or cast a sound-alike remains to be seen.

Even without firm details, the brand is so strong that you can almost guarantee massive financial success.
