44. The Nutcracker And The Four Realms

Release Date: TBC (2018)

Status: Wrapped.

Though it has a great cast - in the shape of Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, and Helen Mirren - director Lasse Hallström's live-action adaptation of The Nutcracker And The Mouse King is one of the least hyped of Disney's upcoming titles.

Perhaps that's just because it doesn't yet have a firm release date, despite filming wrapping in January 2017? The story will see a young girl find a Nutcracker doll, which transports her to a magical world of gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. Let's hope it's not another Alice In Wonderland...

43. Jungle Cruise

Release Date: TBC

Status:

The latest Disney Parks ride to be given the film treatment, Jungle Cruise has bubbled around production for what feels like an age. It was originally set for release in 2007 starring Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, but that version ran aground and now Dwayne The Rock Johnson has been cast for another go.

It's being described as a "period piece in the vein of Humphrey Bogart's The African Queen, which is an interesting way to market a theme park ride movie considering the demographic.
