Every Upcoming Disney Movie - Ranked

34. Christopher Robin

Winnie The Pooh
Disney

Release: TBC

Status: Scripting

Oddly, indie screenwriter Alex Ross Perry is the man charged with writing this Winnie The Pooh live action sequel, which is said to focus on Christopher Robin as an adult who returns to Hundred Acre Wood to reunite with his old friends. Sort of like if Andy went back to find Woody and Buzz as a forty year old.

If the CGI used in Paddington and Jungle Book are anything to go by, the creatures will at least look great, and there's more than enough charm in those characters to warrant a nostalgic second look.

33. Disenchanted

Enchanted Amy Adams
Disney

Release Date: TBC

Status: Filming set for summer 2017.

In one of the more unexpected moves on the Disney slate, it was announced back in October 2016 that Adam Shankman was in talks to direct a sequel to the excellent, charming live action musical Enchanted. Amy Adams is also back in, and judging by that Disenchanted title, she's probably been ground down by the mundanity and relentless grimness of real life in New York.

It's an interesting idea to spin out in a Disney movie, and the idea of having her husband - presumably the returning Patrick Dempsey - forced to explain to her why the real world is better than cartoons is a nice switch.
