Every Upcoming MCU Project Ranked By Anticipation

As the MCU has gone on, both with the culmination of the Infinity Saga and beyond, the stakes have only grown and grown. The literal universe has been on the line in recent years on both the big screen and the little, but not with Wonder Man.

The 17th MCU series on Disney+ focused on Simon Williams' journey into Hollywood, as well as his unlikely bromance with the returning Trevor Slattery, and the reluctant embracing of his powers. This was as low-stakes as it gets, and it was a wonderful breath of fresh air.

Simon and Trevor's relationship was unsurprisingly a highlight; how could it not have been with Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley opposite each other, as season one laid a foundation that could be built on.

To be fair, even in spite of the open ending with Simon and Trevor escaping prison, this would have worked as a limited series of just eight episodes. However, when the news dropped that a second season would be coming, it was impossible not to get excited. Unlike anything else the MCU franchise can offer, Wonder Man surprised a lot of people in 2026, and there's no reason to think season two won't continue the good work.
