22. Spider-Man: Freshman Year

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Marvel Studios

Set to act as a prequel to his debut in Captain America: Civil War, Peter Parker's Spider-Man is getting the animated treatment in his own TV series, Freshman Year.

Not much is known about the project - which is probably why there's been so little discussion surrounding it - but even so the prospect of venturing into Parker's backstory is a promising one, especially considering how the animation style is set to pay homage to Spidey's early comic book roots.

Sure to fill in some gaps surrounding Parker's history, the series has its drawbacks, including the fact that the films have long thrived off ignoring the web-crawler's overdone origin story, but even the lack of Tom Holland's involvement makes Freshman Year an intriguing prospect worth sticking around for.
