Every Wolverine Movie Performance Ranked Worst To Best

6. X-Men: Apocalypse

Wolverine Hugh Jackman
Fox

As of writing, X-Men: Apocalypse is the most recent X-Film, the third entry in the "prequel" series starring James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. Wolverine isn't actually in the film all that much, but his brief appearance leaves a lasting impression, and is one of the most enjoyable parts of a seriously muddled narrative.

Hugh Jackman makes an uncredited appearance as Wolverine in his Weapon X form. Weapon X is a clandestine government genetic research facility commonly used for capturing mutants and experimenting on them, intending to enhance their powers and weaponize them.

It's here where Scott, Jean and Kurt run into Wolverine. We see a Terminator-like glimpse of him emerging half-naked and annihilating Stryker's soldiers, only for him to have a fleeting yet touching encounter with Jean Grey. It's made all the more memorable by the fact that this version of Wolverine is a total savage, growling like a beast before briefly calming at Grey's touch.
