Everything Avengers: Infinity War Fixes About The MCU

4. The Villain Problem

It isn't right to say that all of the MCU's villains are entirely terrible, because the likes of Zemo, Killmonger, Vulture and Loki have been great (and Ultron, Stane and Aldrich Killian are all a little over-looked), but there haven't been any villains in the franchise who really qualify for top rung appreciation.

Thanos, on the other hand, is right up there with the Darth Vaders of the world. He's complex, terrifying and - crucially - convincing in his agenda. He believes himself to be right and for his actions to be necessary for the survival of the universe, and while he's a megalomaniac and a tyrant, he's sympathetic at times (particularly when he sacrifices Gamora), which builds on the things that made Zemo and Killmonger so good.

The only issue now is that Marvel will probably struggle to do any better than him.
