Along with "groovy," the most quoted line of the Evil Dead series is definitely "This is my boomstick," a phrase slapped all over T-shirts and other merchandise. It makes sense that it stuck, as it's definitely one of the most memorable scenes from Army of Darkness.

Ash is a guy who's convinced he's on top of the world, yet in reality, he's just some dude who works at a department store. When in the middle ages, though, he finally has the opportunity to be as important as he thinks he is, as he's now a time traveler with access to technology from the future. Namely, he has his shotgun with him, an invention that all the 14th century citizens look at with awe.

Too rarely do character in movies have fun with the crazy situation they're in like most people probably would. Ash begins to really amuse himself here, realizing he can give the shotgun a different name since he's introducing it to these people.

He ends up going with "boomstick," and isn't that just so much cooler than "shotgun"? Oh, and he can't help but plug the store he works at while talking about how awesome the boomstick is. "Shop smart," he says. "Shop S-Mart."

He is the only guy who could get that passionate about his workplace's slogan.
