Fantastic Beasts: 10 Potential Harry Potter Spinoffs We'd Rather See
2. Hogwarts Founders
A group of four friends work together to build a school so that children with special abilities can learn in a community of their peers, rather than being forced to hide in the shadows. And things are great, for a while anyway. But slowly the friends are faced with a disagreement: how special do children need to be to attend, and should children whose abilities have developed seemingly out of nowhere be treated any differently than those with a long pedigree of witches and wizards in their family?
Rowena Ravenclaw, Godric Gryffindor, Helena Hufflepuff, and Salazar Slytherin: only alliterative names need apply. But seriously, how awesome would it be to see an origin story of Hogwarts itself on the big screen? The medieval wizarding world, the constant fear of discovery by Muggles, and most importantly, the sheer dynamics of four incredibly powerful and intelligent witches and wizards.
What I like most of all about this is that at its heart, it's the story of a great friendship gone sour, and if there's one thing that really spices up an historical drama, it's a little bit of relationship drama.
