Fantastic Beasts: 10 Rumours That Proved To Be Bullsh*t

Out of every possible Fantastic Beasts rumour, this is the one that most people assumed would be completely true. From the very first announcement of the film's existence, rumours circulated that Dumbledore would show up to tie everything together.

Dumbledore's advanced age in the Potter series made the rumour seem entirely plausible, and Michael Gambon stated he was totally up for reprising his role (which would have made absolutely no sense given the age thing I just mentioned, but that he was keen implied it was being considered behind the scenes).

Alas, the film came and went, and there was no sign of Dumbledore. The "cameo" that everyone had hyped up turned out to be nothing more than a single reference in dialogue, as Graves' questions Newt as to why Dumbledore was so fond of him.

Regardless, it's clear Dumbledore will show up sooner or later given the appearance of Grindelwald, but sadly we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out who'll be playing him.
