Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald - 19 Easter Eggs & References Explained

10. Young Grindelwald & Dumbledore

Grindelwald Romance

Though the Fantastic Beasts movies being set roughly 70 years before the Harry Potter movies doesn't give many actors the chance to reprise their roles, two actors were lucky enough to return to the fold for The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The pair in question are Jamie Campbell Bower and Toby Regbo, who previously portrayed young versions of Grindelwald and Dumbledore respectively in 2010's The Deathly Hallows Part 1, and once again appeared in brief flashbacks this time around.

Because Grindelwald's heterochromia - that's different-coloured eyes - was a suggestion by Johnny Depp, it does invite a slight continuity error given that the mutation was obviously not present in Deathly Hallows Part 1's flashback.

If it bugs you that much, it might be worth hassling Warner Bros. to add the effect to the movie for the next box set release.
