Following the chaos at the Circus Arcanus where Nagini (Claudia Kim) is able to escape her confinement, Newt uses magic to pore over the previous night's events in the hope of locating Tina, and catches a brief glimpse of a Kappa that was part of the circus roster.

The Kappa has been mentioned in the Potter books, but is in fact another creature drawn from real-world myths, this time Japanese folklore. The Kappa is depicted as a water-dwelling imp which feasts on human blood and collects water in its bowl-shaped head.

Again, its representation in this world is likely a little tamer than the traditional folkloric one, but it's still pretty neat.
