5. Jude Law Steals The Show As Dumbledore

Fantastic Beasts The Crimes Of Grindelwald Dumbledore Harry Potter

As most seemed to expect, Jude Law steals every scene he's in as a young, sexy Albus Dumbledore.

He manages to retain the easy charm of the older Potter version of the character without just turning in an impersonation of Michael Gambon's work, while his pork pie hat and the smokey British setting lend him the likeness of a film noir character early on.

The franchise icon sadly isn't in the movie for long, almost entirely sitting out the second half, but his 10-15 minutes' worth of scenes perk up interest without fail.

While so many of the movie's characters have muddled, rushed back-stories, Dumbledore's past with Grindelwald is easily the most intriguing of the lot, even if we'll have to wait for a future film to see the payoff proper.

Law should be proud of his work here, and hopefully he might get a bigger role next time.
