8. Johnny's Fire Flower

When we're introduced to Johnny Storm he's taking part in an ill-fated street race, which ends with the young hot-rod flipping off the road. As well as setting up a key character, this moment contains one of the film's most prophetic Easter eggs. Yes, hanging from his rear-view mirror there's a Fire Flower, one of the cute power ups that turns Mario from jumping plumber to fire-flinging superbeing; a power somewhat similar to the Human Torch's. It's pretty on the nose as an idea, but as the Flower is hardly visible it gets some plus points.
