Fantastic Four New Trailer Breakdown: 25 Things You Need To See

22. The Once And Future Mole Man

So yeah, how about that Harvey Elder fella? Tim Blake Nelson's character appears to be the head of the Baxter company that's behind the experiment that creates the Fantastic Four, demanding answers from Dr Storm and then looking jolly well impressed when he comes to check out Reed Richards' rig. Expect to see more of him has time goes by, and possibly even be a clue to what happens in the sequel. In the comics Elder becomes the Mole Man, a supervillain who began as a grotesque crackpot who went to live underground with the monstrous mole people after his appearance and theories were rejected b his scientific peers. Fun fact: Nelson played scientist Samuel Stern in The Incredible Hulk, who was destined to become supervillain The Leader.
