Fantastic Four New Trailer Breakdown: 25 Things You Need To See
21. Enter The Negative Zone
So, if the rumour mill is to be believed, and the Ultimate Fantastic Four comic is being taken as the source material for this film, then this world of fire and stone that the team find themselves teleported to? That's the Negative Zone, and it's where they'll be getting their superpowers. As opposed to the classic origin of being bombarded by cosmic rays during a space voyage, as featured in the previous (terrible) Fantastic Four movie. An alternate universe to our own, in the original comics it was world of weird abstract shapes. This looks closer to the Ultimate Fantastic Four's N-Zone, a universe in the later stages of heat death which would explain the sky of burning stars, rocky outcroppings and lava. Lots of lava.
