Fantastic Four Reboot: 10 Ways To Guarantee It Won't Suck
4. Don't Make Them The Avengers
They're a family, first and foremost, not a team. Don't try to make them The Avengers by making them fight and be against each other, it just won't work. We need to see the Fantastic Four be a family, even the other two films got that right. If you take away the family element and make them a team, you risk alienating all the fans who love the Fantastic Four for the very reason you're taking away. If we're honest, the members of the Fantastic Four aren't really interesting when they're on their own, that's why an origin story won't work and it's why they need to be together all the time. They just don't have backstories as interesting as Iron Man or Spider-Man, their origin happened together and that's why they have each other. Nobody else understands them except the other three who experienced the same events. If you don't want to make a film about a family, don't make The Fantastic Four. Simple.
