8. They're Not Too Young

In fact, if you're wondering what that completely different direction is going to be, and just why they're all so young considering the Mr Fantastic you remember has grey hair, it's because the film will take its inspiration from the Ultimate Fantastic Four comics. For those of you who don't read Marvel comics, the Ultimate line is a separate entity from the mainstream Marvel Universe and its Fantastic Four are child prodigies with storylines unique to the Ultimate universe. They don't even adopt their famous codenames for months. This will be disappointing for those of you who are waiting for an adaptation which does justice to the Fantastic Four you know and love, but given Fox's first two attempts at that were quite embarrassing, while it still holds the rights it's probably better that they try something else for a while. To address a popular complaint, the fact that Miles Teller can and does still play teenagers is an asset, not a criticism.
