7. They're Talented

As Tom Hiddleston proved in his role as Loki, a talented actor can bring a lot to a comic book film, and there's no question that this lot should have bright careers ahead of them. Kate Mara is credited in the much-anticipated Transcendence and holds her own with Kevin Spacey on House of Cards. Miles Teller was excellent in The Spectacular Now last year and was recognised by Sundance for his performance, and Jamie Bell enlivened even the utterly terrible Jumper and has a big new TV series, Turn, coming up on AMC. Most exciting is Michael B. Jordan, who also starred in Chronicle and was highly praised for his performance in the critically acclaimed Fruitvale Station in 2013. It's a cast which is capable of both handling drama and treating sci-fi concepts seriously, which is all you can want from a comic book film.
