What Your Favourite Marvel Movie Says About You

10. Iron Man (2008)

The Movie: It's hard to imagine a time when people didn't even know who Iron Man was, but that's the reality Marvel faced with their first cinematic venture. The studio had a lot to prove with the story of Tony Stark's transition from playboy douche bag to playboy superhero, but luckily, Marvel had a secret weapon more powerful than a thousand repulsor rays in the form of Robert Downey, Jr. The previously washed-up actor won the hearts and minds of comic book naysayers everywhere with his cocky charisma and sassy quips, all with a goatee that should look terrible, but somehow became the envy of men everywhere... kind of. What It Says About You: You're a hardcore comic book fan who literally exploded with joy at finally seeing one of the Avengers on the big screen, forcing you to switch seats in the cinema halfway through. You were always confident that the story of a man flying around in a metal suit would be successful, overshadowing more mainstream properties like that Spider-Man loser. Part of you felt uncomfortable when Iron Man killed all of those people in the Middle East, but it also looked seriously badass so you were actually pretty ok with it. You threw a hissy fit when you found out that you should have stayed after the credits finished rolling for an extra scene. You already tried streaming the video on your mobile while driving home, but 3G wasn't all it was cracked up to be back in 2008. #FirstWorldProblems. You rushed back to find an illegally filmed version of said scene on Youtube and squealed like a pig on crack when Nick Fury finally said the magic word 'Avengers'. That's right. 'Avengers'. Still gives you chills now, right? Soundbite: "Oh, hey honey. I'm just working on a small project in the garage. Yeah, it's going to take a while, but there's nothing to worry ab- OH GOD DON'T COME IN!" Favorite Movies: Superman (1978), Spider-Man (2002)
