Fifty Shades Of Grey Review: 14 Hilariously Awful Moments

13. "I'm Not Into Necrophilia"

After Christian rescues an incredibly drunk Anastasia from a club and puts her to bed in his place, she wakes up the next day, pops some aspirin, chugs some orange juice and is then greeted by Christian. Realising she's not wearing the same clothes she wore to the club, she inquires about it, and Christian informs her that he had to undress her and have his aide buy her new clothes as her others were caked in vomit. At this point, Anastasia asks whether they had sex, to which Chrisitan quickly says no, adding, "I'm not into necrophilia". It's a paraphrase of a similar line from the novel, where Christian says, "Anastasia, you were comatose. Necrophilia is not my thing. I like my women sentient and receptive", yet with even less context in the movie, the line only sounds more ridiculous. Why would it have been necrophilia? Because Anastasia was...dead...to the world? Either way, it's a totally tone deaf and cringe-worthy line that Dornan must have loathed saying. At least it provides a hearty chuckle, though.
