Pros He's the original Mr Grey. EL James obviously created her character as a redo of Edward Cullen, before the whiff of success made a change a better idea. If he was good for Cullen, he couldn't be bad for Grey. Plus, he's clearly not a bad looking guy, which is definitely a requirement in recasting. Cons With his career already in danger of being defined entirely by one role, would he really be keen to add a second unshakable mark on his CV? Even if the film turns out to be a great success, you'd have to think with his current career choices that he'd prefer to make bolder choices to try and shake off the ghost of Edward Cullen.
