3. The Aliens Nod
There's also a little nod back to Toy Story as the film heads to its climax.
When Dory, Nemo and Marlin eventually get to meet the other Blue Tangs (with the assistance of Hank), and discover that her parents aren't among them, Dory discovers that the rest of her species are similarly quirky.
To emphasise the point, the group react with a collective "oooooohhhhhh" just as the little green aliens do in Toy Story. Like the aliens, it's an expression of their hive mind (and also a nice little confirmation that Dory's uniqueness actually makes her even more special).
