24. The Stolen Cat In The Hat Gag
Right at the start of the film (after a heart-wrenching prologue introducing baby Dory) we learn that she likes to volunteer to go on Mr Ray's field trips to "help". In the latest - a trip to learn about migration - she's asked where she comes from by the kids and forgets what she's talking about midway through.
Instead, she misinterprets the question to be about the birds and the bees and promptly attempts to teach them. It's actually a moment lifted right out of the abysmal Cat In The Hat adaptation starring Mike Myers:
Sally: Where did you come from?
The Cat: Hmm, How do I put this... When a mommy cat and a daddy cat love each other very much, they decide that...
Conrad: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Where did you *come* from?
The Cat: My place, what do you think?
