Finding Dory: 26 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

Finding Dory Easter Egg
Pixar

Pixar have their traditional in-jokes and references that you'll spot (or spend time TRYING to spot) all the way through all of their movies. Typically, they make spotting a couple of them harder than others and there seems to be an agenda to hide the A113 Easter Egg more subtly than any of the others.

The number was of course thought up by the Pixar team members (including John Lasseter and Brad Bird) who graduated from California Institute of the Arts. It was the classroom number used for the graphic design and character animation course, and naturally holds a dear place in Pixar's founding fathers' hearts.

In Finding Dory, the first time it pops up isn't all that subtle: the two sea lions Nemo and Marlin encounter when they get to California are tagged by the Marine Institute (having been ill in the past) and together their tags read A1 and 13.
