4. “Wet Dream” - A Nightmare On Elm Street 4: The Dream Master

Joey’s death was sad because he made so much progress between Dream Warriors and The Dream Master. In the former, he was a shy, mute teenager, thanks to being terrorized by Freddy in his dreams. He was especially shy with women and consistently fantasized about the beautiful women he could not speak to. In his first encounter with Freddy, Joey dreams his is being seduced by his hot nurse, only for her to turn into Freddy mid-kiss. He is tied to the bed, left to hang over a pit of fire and lava. However, in the final battle, despite being mute, he was able to defeat Freddy in Dream Warriors.

Finally, in The Dream Master, he is back in school, and more importantly, talking, when he is again attacked by Freddy in his dreams. Joey starts out by enjoying his dream as he realizes the bikini model on the poster in his room has left the wall and is naked, swimming inside his waterbed.

As she begins to swim away, Joey tries to call after her, only to be surprised by Freddy slashing through the bed. Freddy stabs him and then drowns him, turning Joey’s wet dream into a bloody one
