Friday The 13th Series: Jason's 10 Best Kills

Tenth movie Jason X was ostensibly pretty far removed from the Fridays that came before, given that it jumped forward a couple of hundred years and put Jason on a spacecraft. Nonetheless, it proved another of the most enjoyable entries in the series, and used the sci-fi elements to its advantage for some nicely creative deaths.

There’s plenty to be said for the holodeck sequence in which Jason dispatches two scantily clad campers on a digital simulation of Crystal Lake; but easily the film’s most unforgettable kill comes when everyone’s favourite masked maniac grabs the ship’s scientist Adrienne (Kristi Angus, whose character name is surely an affectionate nod to the original film’s final girl actress Adrienne King), and submerges her face in a vat of liquid nitrogen.

And then, because just freezing her face could never be enough, he then pulls her out and smashes her icy head on the table. That’s gotta hurt.
