Future NARNIA plans revealed

Potential schedule of the next four NARNIA films has THE SILVER CHAIR and THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW included.

At the back end of July, we heard that Walden Media had made plans to release a new CHRONICLES OF NARNIA film every May, for the next six years, beginning with PRINCE CASPIAN in 2008. A highly ambitious but potentially extremely lucrative plan from the studio, as although each movie is expected to cost at least $100 million, the last one made $744 million worldwide. I sincerely doubt PRINCE CASPIAN will make as much as that, but the film should easily make three times as much as it made to produce, so it's no wonder the studio are rushing out to make as many as they can. We already know that in 2009, THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER will be released which will see AMAZING GRACE and THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH helmer Michael Apted step in the director's chair, replacing helmer Andrew Adamson. But looking way ahead as Walden are obviously doing, what books will be the next one's adapted? Cary Granat (I know I thought it said Cary Grant too) the co-founder and President of Walden Media hints to Variety that the following two movies are next on the agenda for 2010 and 2011 releases (although he admits nothing is set in stone)... THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE SILVER CHAIR
