Gerard Depardieu Kicked Off Flight For Pissing Into A Bottle
When you gotta go, sometimes you gotta go.
When you gotta go, sometimes you gotta go. BBC reports that Academy Award nominated French actor Gerard Depardieu was kicked off a Paris flight heading to Dublin to film (where he was to film Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia), because he couldn't hold it in any longer and pissed into a bottle in front of his fellow passengers! The situation though is one we can probably all have sympathy with. The plane was still on the ground preparing for takeoff, but the Cabin crew were unwilling to unlock the lavatory doors for the actor to relieve himself even though he was screaming "Je veux pisser. Je veux pisser (I have to pee!)." It's claimed he then stood up and pissed into the bottle and one passenger would later claim he sprinkled into the aisles. Despite the actor claiming he would clean up any mess he was carted back to Charles De Gaulle airport whilst the flight itself was delayed for two hours! A City Jet (Ireland based subsidiary carrier of Air France) rep said on twitter;
"As you may have seen on the news, we are busy mopping the floor of one of our planes this morning... We'd also like to remind all passengers that our planes are fully equipped with toilet facilities."Which leads me to the question.... couldn't you have just opened the toliet doors if a 62 year old man was really, really desperate? Would it have been too much to ask? The Journal.ie updated the story today;
However, friends of the actor have contested this account, telling AFP that Depardieus two travel companions offered him a bottle as he had an irrepressible need to urinate. He used it after making sure he wasnt seen, but spilt a small amount of urine on the floor. Depardieu then said he was sorry to cabin staff and offered to clear it up himself, the friends continued, adding that the air hostess had an inflexible attitude.
