20. Gorgeous Visuals
There are a lot of good reasons to be nervous about this movie, but the general look isn't one of them.
Rupert Sanders proved with Snow White and the Huntsman that he can do stylish blockbuster entertainment (regardless of your opinion of the rest of the film), and though the script here is still a concern, at least it's going to be a visually stunning failure if it is indeed a failure at all.
Not everything quite pops on the CGI side of things (and we'll get to that in a moment), but in terms of cinematography, this is shaping up rather nicely indeed, and should contribute to the film building a truly living, breathing world.
